I have wathced all four videos and I have a SD9 and I use 2850mah rechargables but on occasion my SB900 does over heat…. I see why now.
So, I can see im going to get a quantum to solve the problem.
The cost of duracell or similar prime batteries would bug me , …..The turbo 2×2 is the one to consider ?
Many thanks for your brilliant videos they are great for people like me who try to RTFM but the brain doesn’t take it in so A VIDEO PAINTS A THOUSAND WORDS.

Yes, Quantum Turbo 2×2 is another option but they are going for $600+, excluding the cable to connect your SB-900 with.

I suggest you to rent the Turbo 2×2 out first and take it out for a spin to see if it suits you well. You can also rent another battery pack, Quantum SC (Slim & Compact), but it has lesser power than the 2×2.

Take them out for a spin.

Yeah , here in the UK the 2X2 with cable (+£37)and optional shoulder strap (+£22) is £550 …….that must be well over $700.

I appreciate this break down of this information. I do read my manual and as stated below sometimes it just doesn’t click in the right places. I wish the SB-800 was still available.

oh gott also beim sascha hab ich mich shcon totgelacht ne aber dieses traurige vereint mit dem bissl schwulen ton einfach herrlich

Generally I’m pleased with the flash. I don’t understand why Nikon would offer a professional level flash that overheats. Even with a SD9 I’m always a bit cautious and watch the temperature gauge like driving a car with low radiator fluid. I just purchased a quantum, and have a feeling that the Quantum will be money much better spent than on the Nikon.
